…or are you all too busy preparing for the holidays to visit Blogland? As for me I think I’ve got my back under control once more, my sleep cycle has readjusted to waking up at 6 without an alarm. Now I just have to shed the habit of dillydallying about and use my time more efficiently while I have it. No cookie baking or hanging of ornaments, I just want to do my thing.
I have a whopping cold for a change, so I’m going to try the tiny post thing for a while, à la small stones. This is only my second cold in maybe 10 years, I keep forgetting how horrible they can be!! 🙄
Title: 3 project beginnings, shared palette.
Further development will, hopefully, eventually, appear on the paint blog. Achoo!
I’m a bit dead in the water at the moment, nothing brilliant emerging upstairs, no flow happening if I try to do stuff anyway. Finally got my spray paint a while ago to finish those frames, but had lost all steam in the meantime when it came to showing the result.
This morning it occurred to me that perhaps this is a unique opportunity to dig into all those project ideas (well one or two of them) that I just make a note of but never begin because time.
It all started out as an experiment in various painting techniques, using some old precut fiber boards lying around. Then, as we have awesome power tools, I thought I’d try making my own frames again, just to explore the option for oddly sized images.
For the next 21 days I’ll be participating in an “online community experience”, showing and talking about various aspects of painting. I’ll be writing up posts on my Paint blog as an addition to the FB group “Creative Fire”, so come on over! There is also a special Instagram tag for all the lovely images. #21daysinmyartworld
Now that I have a list of weaving projects (nearly)* all planned out for my first set of colours, I managed to break out the paints too. 🙂 I have no hopes of producing consistent work or get into a flow with such long breaks, but I’m not ready to give it up either. My brain just lights up with all the colours.
* because I keep second guessing my choices!
