For a while my blog brain has been really, really silent, so I’m going to treat you to collections of Instagram posts for those of you who don’t use that platform. Who knows, maybe my words will be jumpstarted along the way.
Today, spring flowers! It’s pretty cold out still, and I don’t think my vine and hydrangea can get out of winter storage until next month. But it looks pretty and full of hope.

Those jewel coloured pieces pieces, in Chit Chat, are awesome! You need to do something with them. ( and I don’t necessarily mean, keep working on them)
The palette, the mark making.. all lovely. Could these be printed onto something or made into prints and sold in an Etsy shop or an online print shop? Printed as wrapping paper, maybe?
Just saying… you have so many beautiful jewel coloured beginnings, it would be a shame not to keep exploring the avenues, available, to be making an income from your art.
Your winter photos and landscape photography is also stunning… more prints, cards etc?

Thanks – I’m putting some of them on redbubble for now, I don’t have the finances to print and keep a stock myself, as my audience is too small. Once I have the energy to do “marketing” and in case there is interest, I’ll look into better prints. (incidentally I ruined the colours on these panels that the snippets came from, so progress photos are nice to have!)

It’s been pretty cold here too since I took the photos, looks like it won’t dial back up until May. But it sure looks nice and I’m enjoying the increase in daylight.

As you know- I love Instagram. Blogging takes time- and brain power. Instagram is so much easier and you can tell “ your story” simply.

Just saw your cool poppy animation (but can’t comment on the pc) – how’d you do that!?

HI Pia! Sorry-I just saw this. That is an Instagram story. If you click on your round profile picture you can create a story-it’s different from your regular posts.

I know stories, but you had a split screen that looked like torn paper and animation in the middle with other images around it.

Ah- that was created with an app. I have several photo editors and such. If you go to the app store you can find a few apps that can be used to create instagram posts or stories-or other such items for your blog. I think I used unfold for the “poppy in the barley field”. That was actually a combination of video and still footage.

Thank you Ellie! I just finished a linen summer tunic, halfway to the armpits on another in the same type of yarn, but have slowed down I’m afraid. I also want to add some little embroideries which is why I haven’t posted anything, so thanks for reminding me! In fact I have a whole series planned in that yarn, so I better get cracking before the summer is suddenly out….
