Thanks to those of you writing to wish me well – I’m much better now but have been taking it slow and easy for a while, and I suspect I’m going to need my second chiro visit on the 15th to unstuck my neck once more, but hope to manage until then. The cat luckily is back to his usual goofy, ever hungry self; my theory is that he swallowed a bee or something like that, because we could find no explanation of his sudden peevishness.

There has been some light reading, for instance:

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
The very last Discworld novel (#41): The Shepherd’s Crown

Finally started on the sleeves for my very heavy alpaca cardigan (and managed to tv knit the first one way too narrow). Attempting once more to work my way through UFOs one by one, get a clear slate at least where in-house projects are concerned.

Drops 4 threads 2 colours

Today I’m reading
The Surrender Experiment

Pilgrim at Tinker Creek

And one end of my white, sterile studio is blooming with colour just a little bit

the other end somewhat less. And the structure really looks like crap on the loom, so I hope it improves in water.

Summer isn’t much at the moment, in fact I’m wearing lovely “handknit by mum” woolen socks today. And a pair of my recent “muslins”: loosefit trousers from old sheets that can get as much paint on them as they bloody well like, while I also experiment and learn to make a nicer pair, perhaps from handwoven?!
