While I was waiting for the polls to come in, I actually went on knitting because I needed something simple to do. Now that I see the sweater from afar for the first time, I wish I had gone ahead and halved the stripes on the lower part of the sleeves, as several have voted, but I’m not frogging, I’m just too tired. I’m going to keep the idea for another project, however! I did some short row thing to round the neckline which I’m really pleased with, but of course you can’t see it in the photo because Mimi has no shoulders. It’s actually a bit rounder, without having to split the sides and getting different colour changes.
Those who voted for grey at the bottom partially got what they wanted since the yarn happened to get very dark towards the end, and I was able to fiddle it to be so on both sleeves. Now I just have to seam up one side and sleeve, always slow going as many knitters would agree. In fact I’m rather proud that I’ve begun so soon after completing the knitting… It’s part of the process, but so boring. Like, you feel you ought to be done, and yet you’re not.
And I’m living life dangerously since the rolling edges have prevented me from trying it on properly. Must get more safety pins. Oh well. It’s stretchy yarn.
